thanks saw the article ok here , no change ,,,, but faith ....

Though the modern practice in all institutional churches of any stripe is that of “giving sermons” and “preaching from the pulpit,” the word group for "giving a speech" or "give sermons" is never found within the New Testament ecclesia. Instead we have "discuss" or "start a discussion," or "dialogue", the true meaning of the Greek word.

But again, the translators gave an incorrect rendering. They inserted the word “preach” instead of dialegomai, “dialogue”, confirming yet again their love affair with the medieval practices and traditions of power hungry and lust-filled men.quote !

So now we have in the church institution the notion called “the centrality of preaching,” taken from Acts 20, a situation where the Apostle Paul spoke for a long time. But many fail to notice, and others even refuse to acknowledge, that verse 7 specifically states that the purpose of their coming together was “to break bread” (fellowship) not to hear a sermon!  true sender  thanks fox penn knew that fully .......   yes read  it,,, it; amazing  journey for any one seeking insites ,,,,stuff  , was intense write , i doubt many have even ask the question, lrt alone find the answer    your yoru speaking to putting up  agree.... the actual terms do nto support it//// tyndale knew so did all the other that got wicked , the reformers  remain  mixed  into thir deministic  theology , which entails them in their lofty arrogance of power,!!!!,, anciant priest craft has not left them,,,,  sir and sis,,   read the book the origins of the priest craft and king craft,,,  it will provide with deep formal education on the orgins and doings of their tragic  drama,,,,,, both practices for power , is amazing you will see fox -penn address the drama, as  by far rejected the magical wagon of silver power  in the sufferings asscociated in  the arrogance that raged in those centuries that  and much much more !!!grace is not so, freeing one enslaved mind at a time  you might say....  thanks , love the article super  ...,

Chapter 3.

Law or Faith

1 YOU STUPID GALATIANS! You must have been bewitched—you before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly displayed upon his cross! 2 Answer me one question: did you receive the Spirit by keeping the law or by believing the gospel message? [Or: or by the message of faith; Or: or by hearing and believing. ] 3 Can it be that you are so stupid? You started with the spiritual; do you now look to the material to make you perfect? 4 Have all your great experiences been in vain—if vain indeed they should be? I ask then: 5 when God gives you the Spirit and works miracles among you, why is this? Is it because you keep the law, or is it because you have faith in the gospel message? 6 [ Gn.15.6. ] Look at Abraham: he put his faith in God, and that faith was counted to him as righteousness.

7 You may take it, then, that it is the men of faith who are Abraham's sons. 8 [ Gn.12.3. ] And Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles through faith, declared the Gospel to Abraham beforehand: 'In you all nations shall find blessing.' 9 Thus it is the men of faith who share the blessing with faithful Abraham.

10 [ Dt.27.26. ] On the other hand those who rely on obedience to the law are under a curse; for Scripture says, 'A curse is on all who do not persevere in doing everything that is written in the Book of the Law.' 11 [ Hab.2.4. ] It is evident that no one is ever justified before God in terms of law; because we read, 'he shall gain life who is justified through faith'. 12 [ Lv.18.5. ] Now law is not at all a matter of having faith: we read, 'he who does this shall gain life by what he does'.

13 [ Dt.21.23. ] Christ bought us freedom from the curse of the law by becoming for our sake an accursed thing; for Scripture says, 'A curse is on everyone who is hanged on a gibbet.' 14 And the purpose of it all was that the blessing of Abraham should in Jesus Christ be extended to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

The Law and the Promise

15 My brothers, let me give you an illustration. Even in ordinary life, when a man's will and testament has been duly executed, no one else can set it aside or add a codicil. 16 [ Gn.12.7Gn.13.15Gn.17.7. ] Now the promises were pronounced to Abraham and to his 'issue'. It does not say 'issues' in the plural, but in the singular, 'and to your issue'; and the 'issue' intended is Christ. 17 What I am saying is this: a testament, or covenant, had already been validated by God; it cannot be invalidated, and its promises rendered ineffective, by a law made four hundred and thirty years later. 18 If the inheritance is by legal right, then it is not by promise; but it was by promise that God bestowed it as a free gift on Abraham.

19 Then what of the law? It was added to make wrong-doing a legal offence. [Or: added because of offences.] It was a temporary measure pending the arrival of the 'issue' to whom the promise was made. It was promulgated through angels, and there was an intermediary; 20 but an intermediary is not needed for one party acting alone, and God is one.

Slaves and Sons

21 Does the law, then, contradict the promises? No, never! If a law had been given which had power to bestow life, then indeed righteousness would have come from keeping the law. 22 But Scripture has declared the whole world to be prisoners in subjection to sin, so that faith in Jesus Christ may be the ground on which the promised blessing is given, and given to those who have such faith.

23 Before this faith came, we were close prisoners in the custody of law, pending the revelation of faith. 24 Thus the law was a kind of tutor in charge of us until Christ should come, [Or: a kind of tutor to conduct us to Christ.] when we should be justified through faith; 25 and now that faith has come, the tutor's charge is at an end.

26 For through faith you are all sons of God in union with Christ Jesus. 27 Baptized into union with him, you have all put on Christ as a garment. 28 There is no such thing as Jew and Greek, slave and freeman, male and female; for you are all one person in Christ Jesus. 29 But if you thus belong to Christ, you are the 'issue' of Abraham, and so heirs by promise

CLARITY ESCAPING THE SPELL

Hab 2:4 is introduced as providing the reason why it is dh/lon (clear) that “in the law no one is justified before God.” “In the law” is the functional equivalent of “those who are of works of the law” in the previous verse. Accordingly, for Paul it is evident that those who remain “in the law,” the Judaizers and those like them, cannot be “justified before God,” simply because, in the words of Hab 2:4, “the righteous shall live by faith,” the implication being that these people do not belong to the company of the righteous who will live by virtue of their faith (fulness).

3:12 o` de. no,moj ouvk e;stin evk pi,stewj( avllV o` poih,saj auvta. zh,setai evn auvtoi/jÅ

Law is not by faith but by the one who does these things will live by them

o` de. no,moj ouvk e;stin evk pi,stewj( “but the law is not by faith.” The postpositive de. Here particularly in association with avllV that follows, is adversative (“but”), “just as it is in v 11—thereby setting v 12 in sharp contrast to v 11, just as v 11 is in sharp contrast to v 10 (contra Betz, Galatians, 147; Howard, Paul: Crisis in Galatia, 63-64). So vv 10 and 12 are lined up on the one side, that of law and curse, with v 11 o the other, that of faith and righteousness.”39 Responding to the idea that perhaps both Law and faith are necessary for justification Paul quoted Leviticus 18:5. This verse shows that they are mutually exclusive. They are two entirely different approaches to God.

3:13 Cristo.j h`ma/j evxhgo,rasen evk th/j kata,raj tou/ no,mou geno,menoj u`pe.r h`mw/n kata,ra( o[ti ge,graptai\ evpikata,ratoj pa/j o` krema,menoj evpi. xu,lou(

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it has been written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,

STAGED EVENTS The "evil eye" was thought to work in the way a serpent could hypnotize its prey with its eyes. Once the victim looked into the "evil eye," a spell could be cast. In his commentary, F. F. Bruce stresses this nuance when he renders the term "hypnotized." Therefore, the way to overcome the evil eye was simply not to look at it. In using this phrasing, and using the word picture of bewitched, Paul is encouraging the Galatians to keep their eyes always, steadfastly, upon Jesus.

By using the term "bewitched," Paul gives the idea that the Galatians are under some type of spell. He doesn't mean this literally, but their thinking is so clouded and so unbiblical that it seems that some kind of spell has been cast over them. It amazes me when I talk with some Christians how absolutely absurd some of their beliefs are. They seem to be hypnotized.

For example, there are some Christians who actually believe that the KJV is the inspired English translation of the Bible in the same way that the first transcripts were inspired when Paul originally wrote them under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

In other words, according to them, until 1611, or thereabouts, no one had an English Bible which could be reliable. No one in the English speaking world had a Bible that could be considered the true word of God. It took the Holy Spirit almost 1600 years to finally inspire, in the same way He inspired Paul, an English Bible for the world. They seem to be hypnotized by the power of the 1611 KJV.

Now if you have the KJV or the NKJV you'll notice that they add the phrase - "That ye should not obey the truth" to verse 1

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB) For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, that no one should boast.THANKS  BEREANS !!!

OXFORD did the honoree work   in this deeply truthful exposure of both terms and intents of industrialized form of Christianity that was mixed within an  extensive gnostic theology to this day  and created a giant business module . In an additional paper,

ROSICRUCIANS & PROTESTANTS TOGETHER

o   The Rosicrucians infiltrated the Protestant Reformation and labeled their movement “Evangelical,” after the medieval heresy of the “Eternal Evangel.”

“In some way...there was a connection the Cathars, who were tied with the Bogomils and the older Manichaeans, or followers of Mani. It was from here at the close of the Cathar influence in the Albigensian Crusades that a young boy of the German nobel house of Germel was prepared for training in Persia when he was to come of age. The legend of C.R.C. [Christian Rosencreutz] that was the focus of the first Rosicrucian manifesto published in 1614 was an allegorical vehicle based upon his life and work. Geoffrey de St. Adhémar had also been originally from a town in the Albigensian lands of the Cathars. He later was tutored in the tradition, and co-founded the first Militae Evangelicae in 1089.” (Rosicrucian Library)

“A Society allied to the Rosicrucians and incorporating much of their philosophy was founded at Lunenberg in 1571, under the name Militia Crucifera Evangelica. The MSS of this Society refers to the Rose and Cross. This organization cooperated with another in Holland, known as the ‘Friends of the Cross.’” - “Christian Rosencreutz” (S.R.I.A.)

“...it was only with Schelling that the medieval heresy of the Eternal Evangel reappeared. When in 1831 he began to deliver his famous lectures on The Philosophy of Revelation in Munich, he felt himself to be invested with a great mission to announce the universal religion to come, the Church of St John... It has been said that ‘Many a listener...had the impression that he was watching the rise of new stage of consciousness and the birth of a new religion.’... Like others, Schelling saw St John as the apostle of the future in concord with Moses, Elijah, and John the Baptist in the Old Dispensation, he placed Peter, Paul, and John in the New, representing the three stages in the Christian Church. Peter was the Apostle of the Father, Paul of the Son, while John was the Apostle of the Spirit who was leading mankind into the full truth of the future. The first stage was that of Catholicism, the second of Protestantism, but the third will be the perfect religion of mankind.” - 256:62   a continous compromise  persisted .

escaping the errors of mixing , question answered !

A Reformed Christianity

The Rosicrucians, and those in whom they found their inspiration, such as Paracelsus and John Dee, tended to have a strong sense of Christian piety, though not of the conventional kind, because it was mixed with potentially heretical pursuits, such as Cabala, alchemy, astrology and magic.

Thus, they were frequently accused of sorcery, witchcraft and magic. As we have seen, their Christianity was very much based on the ‘Imitation of Christ’ and on the Rosicrucian saying “Nothing approaches nearer to God that Unity”. On this basis, they proposed a reformed Christianity incorporating Hermetic, Cabalistic and Alchemical principles.

Frances Yates has shown in her various books about the Occult Philosophy in the Renaissance that in the 15th and 16th centuries there was a general attempt to reform the European world on the basis of Hermetic principles. Until she came to write her book The Rosicrucian Enlightenment, she had believed that this impulse had died at the end of the 16th century, with the burning at the stake of Giordano Bruno in 1600. However, as she began to research the 17th century, she found that the same impulse had reappeared, in the form of Rosicrucianism, with slight variations, but essentially the same intention – a general reformation of the world based on spiritual philosophical principles.

This desire for reformation could be seen in all areas of life, and she cites the enthusiasm felt by the poet Milton and others in England for a universal reform in education and all departments of life, inspired by Rosicrucian figures like Comenius. Comenius expresses this enthusiasm in his book The Way of Light, written in England in 1641, which includes a prophecy that the Schools of Universal Wisdom advocated by Francis Bacon in his New Atlantis would soon come to be founded. Similarly, we find the Puritan theologian, John Webster, urging that “the philosophy of Hermes revived by the Paracelsian school” should be taught in the universities

a spin of truth,,, a relationship verses a man made relgion !!! kempis is right ,

One of the key mystical works from which the Rosicrucians drew inspiration was The Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kempis (1379-1471), a mystical writer who was associated with a 14th century religious movement called “The Brethren of the Common Life”.

As the title of his book suggests, this work places the emphasis on the real application of the virtues shown by Christ, such as love for one’s neighbour, charity, forgiveness and humility, rather than on the divisive dogmas which gave rise to the ‘Wars of Religion’ so prevalent in those days.

inside the fog machine's

4) Christ is become of no effect unto you.--Literally, Ye were (or, more idiomatically, are) abolished, made nothing, from Christ; a condensed form of expression for, Ye are made nothing (unchristianised), and cut off from Christ. Your relations to Christ are cancelled, and you are Christians no longer. e's commentary

Are justified.--Strictly, seek to be justified.
Ye are fallen from grace.--The Christian is justified by an act of grace, or free, unearned favour, on the part of God. He who seeks for justification in any other way loses this grace. Grace is not here a state or disposition in the believer, but a divine act or relation.
