Freedom in the Christ to be vital from the least to the greatest.

The Greek form of the word "laity" is "laos", which Strong assigns number 2992 and defines simply as "people".  It is used 143 times in the New Testament – in Matthew 2:6 for God's "people" Israel; in Luke 2:31 for all "peoples", before whose face God has prepared His salvation; in Romans 9:24-26 for Gentile "people" whom God has called; in 1 Peter 2:9-10 for a "people" for a possession, God's "people"; in Revelation 14:6 for every "people" to whom the everlasting gospel is preached; and in Revelation 21:3 for God's "people" with whom He will dwell eternally.
So kleros and laos are clearly Biblical concepts.  But there is no suggestion in scripture that the kleros are a class or group of persons distinct from the laos

quote,

Teaching the real way.Telling the truth.

The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2Timothy 2:24-26)

Not compromise, 1 Corinth 1-3 the life of faith is a relationship, jesus first others secoundly.

How do we escape the matrix in our minds?? that may be spell bond? can we tell do we really know discernment,  getting set free, by awareness and the inward presence of God in those who have come through Christ, an alternative to religion .Shot through and through the wind of God.? leading people into knowable reality ratherthan  hit and miss, thinking bond in spirit led mind.

Grace, love, faith, hope, all found in the text the kj3  or young's literal provide the insight we feel to be far more accurate and conclusive than  which was added. Thanks,,,
pray for the many trapped in substance abuse to come free,(and those lost in the hostile cult world of hate and distortion.)
I pray for those who call themselves Christians to  come to truth and avoid the divides. that they to may know grace and love and liberty to reach out.

breaking free of satan's matrix..

Tools of the trade

The devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Therefore
we must “be self-controlled and alert ... resist him, standing firm in the faith” (1 Peter 5:8,9).
Let’s consider these four commands for effective or successful warfare.

This aspect of spiritual warfare includes living in submission to God, which means connection, aweare and pursistant.. Our primary method for resisting the devil is to “say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age” (Titus 2:12). Then we are able to know our enemy and all of his forces. Let’s look at a few relevant issues in directly resisting the devil and his character..

Before we can confidently do battle, we must clearly understand our enemy? this is in deep need of knowing,  our quasi  religious  ideas often fail due to lifeless formalism and redundant relgiousity.

Ephesians 6 clearly identifies our enemy and his kingdom:

“the devil... the rulers, the authorities, the
powers of this dark world and ... the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms . . . the
evil one.” God promises victory over him.
Just as literal warfare brings suffering, we must
be aware that we may experience suffering as
we resist the devil is an alternative to compromise and fear  seeking our self worth over divine leading.

1 Peter 5:10 speaks of suffering while resisting the devil. The life of faith is  very different than a life of rouitine and form and the stigma of performance based relgion often usedto replace  a relational awareness, more or less completely  remains questionable to deal with the over all discern issues here mentioned.
A few verses to stand in,In Christ we have overcome the evil
one (1 John 2:13,14, 4:4).

The Son of God appeared to destroy the
devil’s work (1 John 3:8).
He who is in us is greater than he who
is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Everyone born of God has overcome
the world (1 John 5:4).

Even though the whole world is under
the control of the evil one, Christ keeps us
safe, and the evil one cannot harm us (1 John
5:18,19).

The Lord is faithful; He will strengthen
and protect us from the evil one (2 Thess. 3:3).

Demons cannot separate us from God’s
love in Christ (Romans 8:38).

When we suffer in our struggle against
the devil, God himself restores us and makes us
strong, firm and steadfast (1 Peter 5:8-10).

I personally have enjoy the utilization of the Peter veres in night street ministry. Thanks from narrowway2011

We promote the kj3 translation with great vigor,  as we mentioend we wanted to get back the the mroe accurate nobnloltical translations where additiosn were made that are not inthe actaul texts theyw ere added we take serious the taking from and adding to  the text as warning from God not do do so, to fit the polticalyl correct agendas of the ages past and present,, or those seeking power and wealth outside the what was said and represented itneh various manuscripts dealing witheh tyndale issues and reluctance to  make the changes latter on.

Thank you so Kjos!

"Behold, the hour cometh, . . . that ye shall be scattered." John 16:32
"'...and shall leave Me alone.' Have we left Jesus alone by the scattering of His providence? Because we do not see God in our circumstances? Darkness comes by the sovereignty of God. Are we prepared to let God do as He likes with us—prepared to be separated from conscious blessings? Until Jesus Christ is Lord, we all have ends of our own to serve; our faith is real, but it is not permanent yet. God is never in a hurry; if we wait, we shall see that God is pointing out that we have not been interested in Himself, but only in His blessings..."
My Utmost for His Highest, April 4

"Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, 'Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.' And they launched out. But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came..." Luke 8:22-23
"'If you obey Jesus you will have a life of joy and delight.' Well, it is not true. Jesus said to the disciples—'Let us cross over to the other of the lake,' and they were plunged into the biggest storm they had ever known.
"You say, 'If I had not obeyed Jesus I should not have got into this complication.' Exactly. The problems in our walk with God are to be accounted along this line, and the temptation is to say, 'God could never have told to go there, if He had done so this would not have happened.' We discover whether we are going to trust God’s integrity or listen to our own expressed skepticism.
"Darkness is not synonymous with sin; if there is darkness spiritually it is much more likely to be the shade of God’s hand than darkness on account of sin. It may be the threshold of a new revelation coming through a big break in personal experience. Before the dawn there is desolation; but wait, the dawn will merge into glorious day—'...the light of dawn, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
"If you are experiencing the darkness of desolation on individual lines, go through with it, and you will find yourself face to face with Jesus Christ as never before. 'I have come that they may have life'—life in which there is no death—'and that they may have it more abundantly.'"
Oswald Chambers Daily Devotional Bible, p. 317

"Clouds and darkness are round about Him." Psalm 97:2
"A man who has not been born of the Spirit of God will tell you that the teachings of Jesus are simple. But when you are baptized with the Holy Ghost, you find 'clouds and darkness are round about Him.' When we come into close contact with the teachings of Jesus Christ we have our first insight into this aspect of things. The only possibility of understanding the teaching of Jesus is by the light of the Spirit of God on the inside.
"If we have never had the experience of taking our commonplace religious shoes off our common-place religious feet, and getting rid of all the undue familiarity with which we approach God, it is questionable whether we have ever stood in His presence. The people who are flippant and familiar are those who have never yet been introduced to Jesus Christ. After the amazing delight and liberty of realizing what Jesus Christ does, comes the impenetrable darkness of realizing Who He is....
"The Bible has been so many words to us -- clouds and darkness, then all of a sudden the words become spirit and life because Jesus re-speaks them to us in a particular condition. That is the way God speaks to us, not by visions and dreams, but by words."
My Utmost for His Highest, January 3

"And as they followed, they were afraid." Mark 10:32.
"At the beginning we were sure we knew all about Jesus Christ, it was a delight to sell all and to fling ourselves out in a hardihood of love; but now we are not quite so sure. Jesus is on in front and He looks strange. 'Jesus went before them: and they were amazed.'
"There is an aspect of Jesus that chills the heart of a disciple to the core and makes the whole spiritual life gasp for breath. This strange Being with His face set like a flint and His striding determination strikes terror into me. He is no longer Counsellor and Comrade, He is taken up with a point of view I know nothing about, and I am amazed at Him. At first I was confident that I understood Him, but now I am not so sure. I begin to realize there is a distance between Jesus Christ and me; I can no longer be familiar with Him. He is ahead of me and He never turns round; I have no idea where He is going, and the goal has become strangely far off.
"Jesus Christ had to fathom every sin and every sorrow man could experience, and that is what makes Him seem strange. When we see Him in this aspect we do not know Him, we do not recognize one feature of his life, and we do not know how to begin to follow Him. He is in front, a Leader Who is very strange, and we have no comradeship with Him.
"The discipline of dismay is an essential necessity in the life of discipleship. The danger is to get back to a little fire of our own and kindle enthusiasm at it (cf. Isaiah 50:10-11). When the darkness of dismay comes, endure until it is over, because out of it will come that following of Jesus which is an unspeakable joy."
My Utmost for His Highest, March 15

"What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light; and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops." Matthew 10:27.
"At times God puts us through the discipline of darkness to teach us to heed Him. 'What I tell you in darkness...' Are you in the dark just now in your circumstances, or in your life with God? ... When you are in the dark, listen, and God will give you a very precious message for someone else when you get into the light."
My Utmost for His Highest, February 14

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

America America where has thou gone?

Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new wonderful good society which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious."

Being rebuilt..

Romans 5:2-5 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Colossians 2:6-7  Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

Oh that wonderful grace!!!!

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me.
Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, evenwhen we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace  you have been saved—
1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
John 13:34-35  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to LOVE ONE ANOTHER .  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

THAT LOVE IN NON DESTRUCTUIVE BY THE WAY.

Inward journey

The thing to remember is this: Religion concentrates on the external (outward performance) always. but relationship with God deals with what is internal (inward transformation) (I Samuel 16:7; Matthew 23:27; John 7:24) John 13-17 Ephesian 6. However, plenty of people who are willing to let you try to work up your redemption in servitude to them (their opinions, rules, etc.)?

We felt it was time  to make clear distinctions. God wants ech one of us to know minus any added mediums, forms buildings or go betweens  whatever it is it has to go. The sea of religion is filled with  assumed ideas, many of  which are born of the mystery religions in their esoteric forms to  this age are still present.

Things on the out will only change if the inward things change first.NW.

I think this will help on the fallen beings, yes we live in world where the supernatural cross over, despite  our Mi optic programmatic world of materialism which is heading for a serious nose dive. Those will help you see inside another world all around deeply missed and forsaken in order to  fit in the culture, people have been well processed, or puppteered to do as they are told, as you say. Test it...

Stepping out is eye opening one can see much clearer, the scripture help us see more clearly Enoch is quite a book it was considered faithful in the time of Christ and be fore him, getting the real one been issues  there are some good discussions as to why out there have work to find it,  I feel it;s important to test and try what I hear or read, takes time but well worth it. The authors discuss the past world and other details as to where we maybe going not to far off..??

Transcending our thoughts.

But thinking is not enough. Men are made to worship also, to bow down and adore in the presence of the mystery inexpressible.

Man’s mind is not the top pea, of his nature. Higher than his mind is his spirit, that something within him which can engage the supernatural, which under the breath of the Spirit can come alive and enter into conscious communion with heaven, can receive the divine nature and hear and feel and see the eneffable wonder that is God…

Abraham was completely satisfied with God’s friendship. He becomes to us a faithful example in his willingness to put God first. With Abraham, only God mattered…
In Abraham’s Life . Is it in ours do you want to be? an alternative way to a culture of anger and meanness, and greed, power to one that characterizes it  self in the presence of God's love coming through us as we seek him and turn to the Christ .Love is the greatest of all and bares no ill will to anyone.NW

Gulag stuff? nuts,,, thanks Kjos

In America, our cultural method of debate tends to divide individual issues into carefully separated spheres of discussion. This hyperfocus on single issues, from gun rights to illegal wars to invasion of privacy, draws us away from looking at the bigger interconnected picture.... Each social or political conflict is compartmentalized by the mainstream, the dots are left isolated and the overwhelming overall threat to our foundational principles is marginalized.

...there is a process in motion, an overarching plan that is eating away at the edges of our liberty from every angle...

The power elites and the people who blindly follow them are not interested in being on the right side. They are interested only in being on the winning side, and the two are certainly not the same. In the end, the result they covet most is ... to achieve total and unequivocal destruction of those ideals. They seek to erase our heritage from history, along with those of us who value it. They want to annihilate Constitutional culture....
Threats, fearmongering and mob mentality are all used by State teachers all across the country daily to manipulate and terrorize children into submitting to the program. As a nostalgic refresher, re-examine the incident in a North Carolina school in which a teacher screamed down a student who criticized Obama, claiming that people “could be arrested” for speaking ill of the President.
Secondly, if the teacher in Duvall County was looking to encourage students to “think critically” about their Constitutional rights, then perhaps it would have been helpful to educate them on what those rights are. Unfortunately, the children had not been given practical lessons on their rights before being asked to abandon them for “safety.” This is a perfect example of the indoctrination process in action. ... The real target is all Constitutional thought.
Perhaps this is why the methodology of home-schooling has been so demonized by the mainstream, and why Ron Paul’s latest home-schooling initiative is already being attacked as “Christian fundamentalism.” ... The erasure of Constitutional culture has spread far beyond schooling, however....
Throughout history, when conquerors wished to fully dominate a population, they would seek to slowly subsume the people’s ... principles. They would attempt to co-opt cultural ideas and values, twisting them into something completely different or wiping them from memory altogether. When the people lose their traditions and heritage, they become easier to mold and rule. This is exactly what is happening in the United States today: an ideological colonization that views Constitutional life as a mortal enemy and hopes to obliterate it from the pages of time.
–Brandon Smith
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them;
for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you.
He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

What is this?

thanks kjos

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."[1] Barack Obama

"The disruption of the present organization is the first step toward community organization.... All change means disorganization of the old and organization of the new." [2] Rules for Radicals (excerpts here) by Saul Alinsky, the Marxist "organizer" whose disciples mentored Obama.
"People of all ages, stations, and skills will be asked to serve.... I will set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year."[3] Barack Obama
Brave New World: "A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned... to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers."[4] Aldous Huxley

“These are serious times," Barack Obama said recently. "And they call for a serious debate about where we need to take the nation.”[5]
That's true! So where does he want "to take our nation?" How does his version of "service" fit his vision of CHANGE? And what will it cost in terms of freedom, privacy, taxes, and government control?

There's nothing wrong with the old voluntary, personal service to the poor and needy. For centuries, Christian missionaries have given their lives and comforts to serve God among the sick, hungry and dying people in distant parts of the world. Others have shown the same God-given compassion in their own communities. They demonstrated His love, shared His life-saving Truths, and brought hope as well as help to the needy.

Obama's plan is radically different. Aimed at socialist change, it would raise "religious" boundaries, limit free speech, and ban divisive truths. It must be tolerant of today's amoral values and militantly intolerant toward traditional values. And -- like the tactics outlined in Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" -- it would use deception and "agitation" to create conflict, and the Hegelian/Marxist dialectic process to manipulate minds and establish the planned solidarity.
[6]
Obama learned it all during his years as "Community Organizer" in Chicago.
The transforming power of "SERVICE LEARNING"
"Service learning" isn't a new phenomenon. It has been well tested by U.S. educators for more than a decade. What's new is the scale of Obama's plan. His massive system would press students and citizens of all ages in a revolutionary government-led program to change the way we think and relate to each other. A more descriptive term would be mass brainwashing! He outlines it on his official website:
"Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation's Schools: Obama will set a goal that all middle and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year. He will develop national guidelines for service-learning and will give schools better tools both to develop programs and to document student experience."[7]
National guidelines? Documenting each server?  Such traditional words now have new meanings [8] and requirements unknown to the public. Service learning implies socialist indoctrination through facilitated group dialogue designed to break down barriers, manipulate minds, and build unity in diversity. All members will be monitored and tracked by massive computer networks. And all the personal attitudes, beliefs, values, adaptability, and especially resistance to the planned change -- i.e. all the countless factors that now define a person's "mental health"[9] -- will be recorded within these systems.
Does that remind you of China's dang'an -- the growing personal data file that follows each Chinese citizen through life?
It should, because America is following the well-tested footprints of Communist dictators in both China and Russia. As I pointed out in my last article on the Olympics, China is using (and testing) sophisticated American technology to advance its universal and transformational surveillance system. This fact sheds some sobering light on Obama's promise that,
"...we'll use technology to connect people to service.... You'll be able to search by category, time commitment, and skill sets; you'll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities. This will empower more Americans to craft their own service agenda, and make their own change from the bottom up."
[10] "Make their own change?" That may sound good, but there would be no freedom to deviate from the new guidelines. Besides, all this personal information would be available to government leaders and facilitators.
Look at other facets of Obama's plan. Each would involve group training in dialectical thinking. An article titled "A New Era of Service" quotes Obama:
"I will call on a new generation of Americans to join our military.... I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots, and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their efforts connected to a common purpose."[2]
Meanwhile, each crisis -- real or contrived -- will be used by today's "change agents" to raise the dissatisfaction, passion and justification needed to speed the planned change.[11] "We are on the verge of a global transformation," said David Rockefeller. "All we need is the right major crisis..."[12]
[Note: To understand the history and practical details of "Service Learning," please read Serving a Greater Whole]
Obama's training in revolutionary change

Thomas Sowell understands this transformation well. "As a young political leftist, I saw the left as the voice of the common man. Nothing could be further from the truth," he wrote in his book aptly titled Is Reality Optional? He continued,
"Running left-wing movements has always been the prerogative of spoiled rich kids. This pattern goes all the way back to the days when an over-indulged and affluent young man named Karl Marx combined with another over-indulged youth from a wealthy family named Friedrich Engels to create the Communist ideology.
"The phoniness of the claim to be a movement of the working class was blatant from the beginning. When Engels was elected as a delegate to the Communist League in 1847, in his own words, 'a working man was proposed for appearances sake, but those who proposed him voted for me.' It may have been the first rigged 'election' of the Communist movement but it was certainly not the last.... The anointed have always wanted to create their own kind of people, as well as their own kind of society."[13]
Already influenced by the Communist poet, Frank Marshall Davis, Obama attended the elite Punahou School in Hawaii. He studied at prestigious universities such as Columbia and Harvard. His rise to power was funded by rich, liberal men and foundations. They sought his talents and used his rage to facilitate change.
As a "community organizer," Obama was supported by The Woods Fund, a wealthy left-wing foundation. So were Bill Ayers and two radical training organizations founded by Alinsky's disciples: "The Center for Community Change" and "The Midwest Academy."[14]
"Bill Ayers... was a 1960s leader of the homegrown terrorist group Weatherman, a Communist-driven splinter faction of Students for a Democratic Society [See video]. Characterizing Weatherman as 'an American Red Army,' Ayers summed up the organization's ideology as follows: 'Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents.'
      "
Today Ayers is a professor of education and a Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois. ... In his 2001 screed, Fugitive Days, Ayers recounts his life as a Sixties radical... his terrorist campaign across America, and his enduring hatred for the United States. 'What a country,' Ayers said in 2001. 'It makes me want to puke.'"

Obama's 'Weatherman' Connection: "Ayers contributed $200 to Obama's re-election fund to the Illinois State Senate in April 2001, as reported here. They lived within a few blocks of each other in the trendy Hyde Park section of Chicago, and moved in the same liberal-progressive circles."
According to David Freddoso, author of The Case Against Barack Obama, Obama and Bill Ayers served together as board members of The Woods Fund from 1999 to 2002.[14]
The Woods Fund also supports the radical activities of ACORN -- the "Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now." So do our taxes! The following quote from "Obama’s Secret Strategy," shows how such left-wing groups use tax-payers' money:
"I have heard stories about massive voter registration drives and preparations to get out the vote with the help of unions, teachers, and other Obama fans. Chief among these groups is ACORN, or Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a radical group that has been caught engaging in voter fraud. Not surprisingly, Obama has close ties to the group since his days as a 'community organizer' in Chicago.
"...Obama had been a key ally of ACORN. His influence at charitable foundations 'allowed him to help direct tens of millions of dollars in grants.' [The New York Times] also noted the key role ACORN played in helping him win his first state Senate race in Illinois. ACORN’s Web site... says it has already signed up more than a million new voters for the upcoming elections."[15]
Like many other radical organizations, ACORN's strategies are based on Alinsky's revolutionary tactics. Since socialists are not accountable to traditional ethics, ACORN's dishonest dealings -- exposed by Michelle Malkin's article titled "$800,000 campaign secret payment to ACORN" -- shouldn't surprise us:
"There’s much more to the story of Obama’s amended campaign finance reports than what Obama and the Obamedia will tell you.... What we have here, essentially, is Obama using a non-profit group called Citizens Services Inc. as a front to funnel payments to ACORN for campaign advance work. Obama officials say it’s no big deal."[16]
In 1992 Obama helped start another revolutionary organization, Public Allies. He resigned the next year, before Michelle Obama became the executive director of its Chicago chapter. Apparently, Obama plans to use it as the model for a national service corps -- a "Universal Voluntary Public Service."[17]  As Investor's Business Daily explains,
"The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical. It promises to place young adults (18--30) in paid one-year 'community leadership' positions with nonprofit or government agencies. They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three retreats. In exchange, they'll get a monthly stipend....

"But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about 'social change' through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul 'The Red' Alinsky....

"I get to practice being an activist, and get paid for it," gushed Cincinnati recruit Amy Vincent....
"When they're not protesting, they're staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms, bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.... It's training the 'next generation of nonprofit leaders' — future 'social entrepreneurs.'....

"Not all the recruits appreciate the PC [politically correct] indoctrination. 'It was too touchy-feely,' said Nelly Nieblas... 'It's a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia....'

"The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses.... Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it into a national program that some see costing $500 billion."[17]
A national militia and Community policing
"I will ask for your service and your active citizenship when I am president of the United States ... this will be a central cause of my presidency," says Barack Obama.[18]
So how will such "active citizenship" change America? How will he use his mandatory "service learning" programs -- and his proposed "civilian national security force" (remember, it will be "just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as our traditional military)?[1]
We find some clues in the article, "Community Oriented Policing," by Phillip Worts, a detective with the San Diego Police Department. Ponder these excerpts:
"Social chaos is the GOAL for the transformational Marxist. The crisis of crime and disorder is the door for the ... facilitator/change agent to enter the community and to initiate the paradigm shift!  Even though these social architects plainly admit what is most vital in making for a crime free community, they have absolutely no intention of restoring 'individual conscience' or going back to repairing the traditional family. On the contrary, for the past sixty years these socio-psychologists have been introducing these very dialectic concepts into our school system with the intent of demolishing personal conscience....":
"Just in case you doubt the Marxist nature of their concepts of community transformation, Trojanowicz quotes Saul Alinsky, the extreme Marxist change agent of the 60’s who authored Rules for Radicals. Alinsky proposed 'we begin viewing community through the prism of issues (Issues= problems= crisis= conflict)...
"Formerly, the police administrators were accountable to the elected officials who were accountable to the voters (representative democracy).  This new paradigm that Trojanowicz describes is exactly what Marxist George Lukacs termed 'participatory democracy' and is nothing more than the Soviet style council.
"The United States Constitution was the law of the land (absolute authority) restraining government intrusion into the rights of the individual.  The framers designed it to insulate the private realm (the individual) from the public realm (government).  Allow me to repeat Lukacs: 'The institutions in socialist society which act as the facilitators between the public and private realms are the Soviets.'
"By practicing the dialectic, we are removing the only barrier between a tyrannical government and the private citizen.  Your neighborhood cop is now that facilitator, the Soviet."[19]
Reality versus Delusion
You've seen that the socialist power structure thrives on conflict, compromise, manipulation and deceit. It spreads its illusions by hiding its totalitarian aims under the noble banner of community service.
God's ways are totally opposite, and no one has demonstrated the true role of a servant more perfectly than did Jesus Christ Himself. Yet, He was hated for His unwillingness to compromise Truth for the sake of unity. "If they persecuted Me they will persecute you," He warned us, "for they do not know the One who sent Me." (John 15:20-21)
His standard, echoed by one of His disciples, fits our times: "We must obey God rather than man!" (Acts 5:29)  We may face some harsh consequences for choosing to trust and follow Him, but fellowship with Him is well worth it! And He will surely enable us to bring His love, hope, strength, peace to those in need.
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:16

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to
the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history... the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.

Setting the self free series.

“The truth is that time has no more power to sanctify a man than space has. Indeed, time is only a fiction by which we account for change. It is change, not time, that turns fools into wise men and sinners into saints. Or more accurately, it is Christ who does the whole thing by means of the changes He works in the heart.”
- A.W. Tozer,

“God is spirit, and to Him magnitude and distance have no meaning. To us they are useful as analogies and illustrations, so God refers to them constantly when speaking down to our limited understanding. The words of God as found in Isaiah, ”Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity,” give a distinct impression of altitude, but that is because we who dwell in a world of matter, space, and time tend to think in material terms and can grasp abstract ideas only when they are identified in some way with material things. In its struggle to free itself from the tyranny of the natural world, the human heart must learn to translate upward the language the Spirit uses to instruct us.”
- A.W. Tozer, The Knowledge of The Holy

Pure real love and  and dignity are not found inthe pretended artifice, real hope and joy is only found inlife  set aside for  his service, performance religion can only frustrate,as does poltics and human  effort with it;s self centered ambitions. Grace sets us free from those  frustrations .

God can use hardship, pain and suffering to get us to depend on him rather than ourselves. Paul refers to the great pressure he was under in the province of Asia, which was so great that he despaired of life, and then says,

"...that we should not trust in ourselves' but in God which raises the dead." (2 Corinthians 1:9)

Paul asked God to take away his "thorn in the flesh" (2 Corinthians1 2:7-8). God replied,

"My grace is sufficient for thee' for my strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Paul added,

"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Corinthians1 2:10)

Paul's weakness made him strong in the sense that it caused him to rely to a greater degree on God's incomparably great strength. God used "this thorn in the flesh" (which evidently bothered Paul quite a bit, whatever it was)' to cause Paul to depend on God at a deeper level.

This is an important principle. We see it illustrated in a number of ways. For example, Jesus said that it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:,23-24). One reason is that a rich person tends to rely on his own riches rather than on God. More generally, those who are comfortable and successful by this world's standards often feel that they don't need God.

Those who are in very difficult situations and do not see how they can get through them, are much more likely to turn to God for help. When things are going well, we can easily believe that we are self-sufficient. In the face of hardship and suffering, the myth of self-sufficiency loses credibility.
